WHAT DID I SPOT?
I’m back writing about Urban Nomads. I spotted some gadgets that made me think twice. I know, this looks very futuristic and share the look of something that you can find in the Science Fiction movies but this necklace gives u the oppurtunity to connect directly with your bluetooth function on your mobile phone. That sounds clever and most of all it makes things easier. You will be able to make and receive calls hands-free, link it with your MP3 player to listen to your favorite tunes or use applications such as Skype™ . This compass looking necklace allows you to connect to bluetooth devices up to thirty three feet away.
The following gadget I saw in a magazine called BRIGHT. This is a watch, but has way more possiblities than showing you what time it is..It actually comunicate with your mobile phone. the i’m Watch delivers up-to-the-minute social media, news, weather, messaging that your smartphone can to your wrist while also working as a handsfree headset. Tiny wearable computers capable of running apps are seeing increasingly.
And to continue with the theme accessories, the glasses of Goolge is upcoming. “Project Glass” is not being designed to be worn constantly — although Google engineers expect some users will wear them a lot — but will be more like smartphones, used when needed, with the lenses serving as a kind of see-through your computer monitor. Especially the location information is a major feature of the glasses. Through the built-in camera on the glasses, Google will be able to stream images to its rack computers and return augmented reality information to the person wearing them.
It feels like our mobile phones, with hundreds of options, is still not small enough. It should be more compact to fully integrate in the urban nomadic lifestyle. How? By making it wearable, it offers them better opportunities to multitask during their busy lives. It also shows that we are not (yet) capable of manage it without connecting to bigger divices. Urban Nomads want to have that flexibel, indepentent and fast lifestyle, so you need to take a position as a bridge between our different media for now.
The purpose and beauty of those gadgets is to be a ‘bridge’ between your compact wearable item and your mobile phone or computer. Urban Nomads like to have “the feeling” that they carry the whole world around there body. It’s possible with these super close gadgets.
